I am a bit of a Craigslist free stalker. In the DC area people are really giving it all away. If you need it I have probably seen it out there. And yes it is really free. In fact my filing cabinet was a drive by pickup from a curb 5 miles from my home. I gave it a good wash down and someday I hope to repaint it. But it really amazes me to see what people view as garbage. Or not worth the hassle of selling.

On the other hand there is a bunch of junk uhh interesting items out there too. Things that take a little creativity to make them practical for every day life. One of those items I see all the time are wooden shipping pallets. Just today I did a search and found one freebie and someone selling hundreds for $1 each. I call that a good deal. But what do you do with them?
I went to Pinterest for the answer.
My top 5 uses for Wooden Pallets
{One} Hardwood Flooring
It has the look of antique hardwoods. And I for one love the idea of hardwoods at a fraction of the cost. For a little less work sanding you could paint the floors.
Either way the herringbone pattern is always in style.

{Two} Tables
This idea has many variations. They can be on wheels, legs, painted, covered in glass or stacked. Any way you decide they make for a cute conversation piece.

From Plan B
My favorite is this lime green one. But the top one would look better in my house.

{Three} Seating
Stack a few and add a cushion. Instant sofa. Great for after college or the outdoors.
Who wouldn't want to hang out in this backyard?

Man! I guess I will have to invest in a bigger car and probably a house so I can do all this fun stuff.
